2024 Year in Review
As 2025 approaches, I am reflecting on my 2024. I wanted to share a view on my professional accomplishments this year first as there is a ton to go over! First, the acting side:
I did a total of sixty six auditions this year with the support of my agent Emily at Fireside Talent!
-nine auditions for theatre projects
-twenty seven for voice overs
-fifteen for commercials
-five for Tv
-six for short form content
-two for feature films
I also got two callbacks which led to one booking on See No Evil Season 13, where I appear in Episode 2 The Wrong Look on Apple TV. To people unfamiliar with the industry these numbers may seem really discouraging. But the fact that I got paid to be on TV this year is a huge win!

Outside of my acting career, I also had several other professional highlights of 2024!
January: I was leading workshops through Reelworld which I completely adored! I also made and ordered some new business cards early in the year.
Old vs. New
February: I headed to Sudbury and filmed Rêver en Néon with some incredible folks as their Script Supervisor!
Ready for a shot planning session in Sudbury!
March: I came back to TO and did some of my more fun gigs- background acting and being a simulated patient with Pharmachieve. I also started filming for See No Evil!

April: I concluded my portion of See No Evil and started an acting class at LB Studios! I also attended the Stage Managing the Arts workshops and networking event and signed on to working on Disarming Venus as their Stage Manager. Finally I got some new headshots too!

May: I did more simulated patient work, had one of the most successful auditions I didn’t book of my life, and started rehearsing for Disarming Venus. My acting class came to an end this month and I had a really wonderful experience.
Further study as I prepared for a year of Stage Management!
June: On June 14th I had two job interviews and did three auditions! It was an exhausting but exhilarating day! I also got to go to Stratford and Medieval Times for the first time. I also started interviewing for my own assistant on an upcoming TV series I would go on to Script Supervise, and that whole process was a career highlight!
July: I shot a wonderful TV series for most of this month and had such a great time. I had never worked with this production company before and it was a very joyful experience!

August: I came back to Disarming Venus to take over for their tour after their smashing run in the Toronto Fringe! I also got to take a little vacation to visit my nephew in Montreal, an important part of any professionals life! I also attended a networking event for script supervisors, landed a new simulated patient job, and took on a cat sitting client!
September: I was back at Pharmachieve as much as I could be! I also had my first production meeting for Les Zinspirées and got my first aid certificate, as well as a number of other health certifications. Halfway through the month I got to attend my first feature film premiere for Rêver en Néon- I cannot express how much I loved that experience and that film! We concluded the Disarming Venus tour with some full and boisterous crowds!
At the world premiere of Rêver en Néon!
October: I had my first sessions at my new simulated patient job and started meeting about a project coming up in 2025. I also got to attend my second feature film premiere for Welcome, which I Script Supervised in 2023. It was a huge party since it was at the TIFF light box theatre! I also had more shifts at Pharmachieve, started the paperwork for the 2025 project, and did a workshop day for Les Zinspirées!
November: I started rehearsals as Stage Manager for Les Zinspirées at Théâtre Français de Toronto, an absolute dream come true! I first auditioned for this project over ten years ago and I feel so lucky to get to work on it today!

December: Les Zinspirées opened and we started our run! We have three more shows in 2025 so the fun is just on hold for the holidays at the moment!
Looking back on the year has me truly impressed with myself. There was always something going on, no matter how much I may feel like I don’t do anything for long stretches. I’m so grateful that I can make my life storytelling, but also sad that I work this much and have so little money to show for it! We really need to fix this disparity as an industry but also as a society!
Here’s hoping that 2025 includes a touch more rest and a ton more profit!
Happy New Year to you!
